How Bio-Soluble Micro-Point Technology Works

Beyond the 500 Dalton Rule

The external skin barrier is highly selective. According to the widely-known “500 Dalton Rule”, molecules exceeding approximately 500 Daltons (Da) in molecular weight generally have difficulty penetrating.

That creates a challenge for many sought-after skincare ingredients. Hyaluronic acid, collagen, peptides, and PDRN are all far larger than this threshold—so traditional topical skincare has limits.

For years, the common solution has been to break large molecules into smaller fragments. Smaller ingredients may be easier to formulate for topical use, but this can also change the original molecule’s structure.

IROLLING’s Bio-Soluble Infusion System is designed to help address this challenge without breaking the skin.

Our bio-soluble micro-points are made with biocompatible ingredients, including sodium hyaluronate. During the ritual, they gradually dissolve with moisture and create temporary microscopic pathways within the stratum corneum—the outermost layer of skin.

Designed not to reach the dermis, the experience is needle-free, comfortable, and requires no recovery period. The temporary pathways naturally close shortly after use, supporting the delivery of skincare ingredients into the outer layers of the skin.
